Saudi Arabia: Suspending the account of drivers of passenger transport applications for 30 days

The updates made to the list include a set of amendments and improvements, including facilitating procedures related to investors in this sector, in addition to improving the mechanisms for drivers to know the delivery locations before accepting or rejecting requests, and preventing the spread of the phenomenon of trip cancellations after they are accepted by drivers by temporarily freezing driver activity in If the number of canceled flights exceeds it during a specific period of time.

It also imposed an obligation on the carrier to establish a mechanism to return luggage or personal lost items to their owners, in addition to addressing the spread of the phenomenon of practicing public taxi activity in private cars with a new ID and carrying “private” plates due to the failure to remove the ID after leaving the activity.

The amendments also included clarifying the scope of practice Taxi activities And increasing compliance rates for licensees by continuing the process of electronic linking to the system specified by the Authority, and providing this system with the required data, in addition to many other amendments aimed at improving the beneficiaries’ experience.

The Public Transport Authority is constantly working to identify the challenges facing investors, beneficiaries and workers in transport activities, with the aim of developing effective solutions to address these challenges and improve the efficiency and quality of services provided.
