Riyadh: The inspection conducted by the Ministry of Interior is continuing strictly to find those who violate the rules of residence, employment and border security in Saudi Arabia. 23,040 foreigners were arrested in the raids conducted by security departments in various provinces of the country. 12,951 Iqama law violators, 6,592 border security law violators and 3,497 labor law violators were arrested.

1,275 people were arrested while trying to cross the border. Of these, 55 percent are Yemenis, 42 percent are Ethiopians, and three percent are from other countries. The security department arrested 112 people who tried to leave the country illegally through the border.
It is a serious offense to facilitate the entry or provide transport, shelter or any other aid or service to a person attempting to enter the country. The Ministry of Home Affairs has repeatedly warned that anyone who commits such crimes will face up to 15 years in prison and a maximum fine of 10 lakh Riyals. The ministry requested the public to call 911 for those in Makkah and Riyadh and 996 and 999 for those in other areas.
