Saudi banks increase their personal loans by 14 billion riyals within two months

Total bank credit in Saudi Arabia increased by 1%, by 27 billion riyals, to 2,648 trillion riyals in February 2024, compared to 2,621 trillion riyals in January.

Total increased Personal loans Provided by Saudi banks by 1.12%, at 14 billion riyals, from 1.243 trillion riyals at the end of 2023 to 1.257 trillion riyals at the end of February, according to “Arabian Business” data analysis. Monthly bulletin issued by the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia (SAMA).

On a monthly basis, personal loans increased by 0.6%, by 8 billion riyals, to 1,257 trillion riyals in February 2024, compared to 1,249 trillion riyals in January 2024.

Education loans provided by Saudi banks increased from 6.33 billion riyals in January to 6.1 billion riyals in February.

Total bank credit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia increased by 1%, by 27 billion riyals, to 2,648 trillion riyals in February, compared to 2,621 trillion riyals in January.

Bank credit terms were distributed as follows:

  • Long term: 1.281 trillion riyals.
  • Medium term: 401.9 million riyals.
  • Short term: 964.7 million riyals.
