Saudi Health Minister: Employee salaries will not be reduced after moving to holding company

The Ministry of Health emphasized ensuring the continuity of free treatment for all citizens, and improving the quality of health services and ease of access to them.

He announced an integrated training program that suits the employees’ skill and leadership needs, to ensure the provision of high-quality health care in the next stage.

In a related context, the Council stressed the importance of implementing the leadership’s directives to ensure the continuity of free treatment for all citizens and improve the quality of and access to health services. It explained that the Kingdom seeks to achieve sustainable health care quality and improve health services for all, to enhance its position on the global stage in the field of health care.

The Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Health stressed in a statement today the importance of completing the implementation of the modern healthcare model, which aims to improve the quality of healthcare services and care for people’s health before they get sick. It also highlighted the importance of investing in and retaining employees, and announced a training program designed to enhance the skills and leadership of employees, with the aim of improving the provision of high-quality healthcare to beneficiaries in the coming period.

It is noteworthy that the first phase of the health transformation ended at the end of last year, when twenty health clusters were launched to serve beneficiaries throughout the Kingdom, in addition to implementing eight paths of the modern health care model.

These are the heart attack track, the stroke track, the breast cancer early detection track, the colorectal cancer early detection track, the severe trauma track, the adult obesity track, the adult diabetes track, and the palliative care track.

More than 20 million beneficiaries were registered in primary health care centers, and 9 urgent care centers compatible with the requirements of the Ministry of Health were opened in health clusters. Virtual care and home care services were also activated, which reduced the duration of therapeutic intervention and waiting for elective operations, and increased diabetes control by 70% in some health clusters. Many cases of colorectal and breast cancer were detected at early stages, which contributed to accelerating the provision of health care, reducing the effects resulting from late diagnosis, and increasing the satisfaction rate of beneficiaries.
