Saudi Passports calls on citizens and residents to complete electronic service procedures through the “Absher” and “Muqeem” platforms after paying the fees
She called General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia Citizens and residents are urged to complete the steps to implement electronic services after paying the fees through the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform (Good news- Absher Business) and resident portal.
The Passports Department confirmed that paying the fees alone does not mean that the service has been completed in full.
Electronic services provided by passports
The Directorate explained that there are many services that can be completed through the Absher and Muqeem platforms, without the need to visit the passport offices. These services include:
- Issuing and renewing Saudi passports.
- Issuing and renewing residency
- Issuing exit and return visas
- Issuing final exit visas.
“Tawasul” service, which enables beneficiaries to submit requests for their transactions that could not be implemented electronically.
The role of passports in regulating the residence of expatriates
