1,058 players and personnel from England’s 24 second-tier clubs have been tested for the virus this week on Thursday and Friday.
The English Football League (EFL) confirmed on Saturday that ten individuals from eight Championship clubs tested positive for coronavirus in the latest round of tests.
The EFL said in a statement that in England’s 24 second-tier clubs on Thursday and Friday, 1,058 players and staff were screened for the virus.
Club staff or players who have been tested positive will now be self-isolating themselves according to the guidelines given by EFL.
EFL did not identify those individuals, although striker Jaden Stockley had tested positive as confirmed by Preston North End.
