Riyadh: The Saudi Traffic Department has clarified that nine traffic violations will not be included in the new 25 percent fine reduction that began to be implemented for a period of six months from Thursday, April 18, 2024. The Traffic Department has explained the traffic violations that are not included in the 25 percent discount. The most important of these is the practice of overtaking or speeding on roads.

Violations related to the driving school or its operation, Violations related to vehicle weight, measurements, vehicle inspection, workshop violations, violations of issuance of international driving licenses, confiscation of driving licenses or vehicle licenses, vehicle sales center violations, driving of vehicles outside the country Other violations include selling and vandalism.
Last April 4th, following the instructions of King Salman and Crown Prince Amir Mohammed bin Salman, the Ministry of Interior announced a major exemption for traffic violations in Saudi Arabia. The decision is to allow 50 percent relaxation for traffic violations up to April 18 this year and 25 percent for violations recorded after that. The concessions will continue for six months.
