Kuwait City: The authorities followed a strict traffic control campaign in Kuwait. The General Traffic Department, led by Major General Yousef Al Qadda, conducted nationwide inspections between May 18 and May 24. Several violations were also found during these inspections.
A total of 28,175 traffic violations were recorded. Also, 1,345 accidents were recorded during this period. Of these, 228 people were seriously injured. Some of the injured died. 26 children were referred for juvenile prosecution for driving their parents’ vehicles without a driver’s license.

Besides, authorities seized 52 vehicles and 35 motorcycles after various violations were found. 26 people have been arrested for serious violations. Officials informed that strict inspections will continue in the coming days.
