An Indian man named Amrithalingam Samayamuthu in the UAE is missing on November 9, a day after arriving in Dubai on a tourist visa. His nephew Durai Maniraja told that Amrithalingam Samayamuthu, who is 46 years old and hails from the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu and has four children and had just come to work in the UAE.
Durai also stated that “he came here from Tamil Nadu on November 8 with three more people living in Hor Al Anz and the people in his room said that he had also gone to his place of work the next morning. And after they came back, the others went to work at night. He said that Amirthalingam was a bit nervous as he was going to be alone in the room and he also wanted to leave. But everyone refused.
Durai said that Amirthalingam had not even called at home as he did not have a UAE SIM card. And they didn’t even call me. The call started from his family’s house when I sought help from my brother-in-law Kannan Nagoorkani, who is a driver in Jebel Ali, Dubai. Then Kannan came to know that he had lodged a complaint on 16 November at Al Muraqqabat Police Station.
On contacting the company, a worker there told that Amrithalingam was on a travel visa, saying that Amrithalingam had not taken his passport or other belongings.

Appealed to the public
Appealing to the public to locate Amrithalingam, Kannan said that at the time of the disappearance, he was in a uniform with a light blue shirt and black pants. The family has appealed to the Indian embassy in Dubai, with no information about the missing person for more than two weeks.
An embassy official said that after receiving the complaint through a tweet on Thursday, the case has started in the matter. He also said that “we are in contact with relatives and local authorities”.

No travel from India to UAE on tourist visa
