The Saudi Crown Prince confirms: Vision 2030 is not the end of the road

The Crown Prince highlighted the positive results achieved by this vision in building a vibrant society. He pointed to the significant improvements witnessed in the quality of life and social development in the country, as women’s participation in the labor market has increased significantly since 2016.

During the session, the Kingdom’s achievements were highlighted within the framework of Saudi Vision 2030, as the Crown Prince pointed to the Kingdom’s continued efforts in creating transformative investment opportunities in its various emerging sectors.

The comprehensive reform package implemented by the Kingdom over the past eight years was also discussed, with the aim of enabling private sector enterprises to contribute effectively to the process of continuous progress. In this context, the Crown Prince referred to the growth of the Public Investment Fund and its plans to transform into a sovereign fund, stressing that its wealth is estimated at trillions of dollars.

During his discussion of the Kingdom’s economy, which is witnessing rapid diversification, the Crown Prince touched on the achievements of the year 2023, as the non-oil gross domestic product reached more than 50% of the total. He also stressed the importance of increasing investments in the areas of research and development, given its vital role in supporting leading national companies, such as ACWA Power, SER, and Machinery, to continue the process of growth and development.

He said: The special meeting of the World Economic Forum carries many goals that the Kingdom has worked to achieve in various sectors of life in partnership with the international community. Stressing that the Kingdom has today become a source of opportunities and an incubator for innovation.

The special session also addressed the challenges of the current economic and geopolitical arena, and the Kingdom’s role as a global economic center in the Middle East region. The Crown Prince stressed the Kingdom’s commitment to expanding the scope of international cooperation and its pioneering role in achieving comprehensive development and economic flexibility.
