Appeal within one month of issue of traffic fine
Abu Dhabi Police has cautioned motorists to appeal traffic fines within one month from the date of issue, otherwise you may have to pay the full fine. Fines are issued through SMS immediately after traffic violation and 1 month time is given for appeal.
If no appeal comes, the violator is deemed to have confessed his crime.
Brigadier General Muhammad Al Hamiri, director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate at Abu Dhabi Police, has stated that an appeal has to be made within 1 month of the issue of the fine. If no appeal comes, the violator is presumed to have confessed to his crime.
