The accuser said his neighbour (the defendant) has installed surveillance cameras on the façade of his house.
The Fujairah Public Prosecution has challenged an appellate court’s deicison to put down the Dh2,000 fine slapped on a man previously convicted of fixing surveillance cameras and snooping on his neighbour.
As per records of the court, the case unfolded when a person lodged a complaint with the Fujairah Police against his neighbour, both are GCC citizens.
In his complaint, the accuser said his neighbour (the defendant) has installed surveillance cameras on the façade of his house, which are intentionally directed towards the front yard of the accuser building.
The case was then moved to the Fujairah Court and the court found the suspect neighbour guilty and charged him to pay a fine of Dh2,000.
