UAE President orders monthly allowance of 50 per cent of basic salary for all mosque staff

The President of the State, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has initiated a substantial program aimed at improving the well-being of mosque employees.

This program involves granting a monthly financial supplement equal to half of the base salary to all mosque workers nationwide, encompassing imams and muezzins associated with the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments.

Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Darai, the head of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments, emphasized that this bonus, made possible through the follow-up and support of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the State, Deputy Prime Minister, and Head of the Presidential Office, will be automatically disbursed along with the workers’ monthly salary.

This initiative reflects the deep appreciation of His Highness the President for the dedication and service of mosque workers, particularly the imams and muezzins who diligently serve the houses of God Almighty. Their commitment contributes significantly to creating an atmosphere of worship and serenity for mosquegoers, adhering to the highest standards of quality and excellence in their duties.
