UAE ruler instructed to build mosque in Abu Dhabi after the President of the world’s largest Muslim country

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has instructed to build a mosque in the diplomatic area in Abu Dhabi, named after Indonesia’s President Joko Vidalo. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed also directed the renaming of Al Marys Street, one of the capital’s major streets in honor of the President.

The directives are under the recognition and appreciation of the close friendship of the President of Indonesia with the UAE and his efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries in many areas including economy, commerce and development.

His Highness Sheikh Khalid bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, a member of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi and a member of the Executive Office of Abu Dhabi, inaugurated Tuesday at a ceremony to mark the anniversary of the election of Indonesia’s President Vidalo. President Joko Vidallo Street is located in the center of the central business district of Abu Dhabi.

The main landmarks on the road include the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center, the headquarters of specialist and leading companies, businesses and governmental organizations around the world for major international events, conferences and exhibitions. The road is strategically located in the Diplomatic Area, where UAE’s capital Abu Dhabi houses several foreign embassies.

In an official visit to Abu Dhabi in early 2020, President Vidallo and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed signed 16 agreements between various institutions in the UAE and Indonesia to enhance mutual cooperation in various fields with education and health, energy, ports and environment. .
