UAE Unemployment Insurance: In the United Arab Emirates, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has extended the last date for registration in the job loss insurance scheme from June 30 to October 1, giving relief to the employees.
That is, now the date for registration in the workers’ scheme has been extended. Workers now have time till October 1, 2023, to register under the scheme.
This scheme was launched on 1 January
Let us tell that this job loss insurance was launched on 1 January 2023. Registration in this scheme is mandatory for all private employees including government employees. Employees were given time from January to June to invest in this scheme.
It was said that if a person does not invest in it, he will be fined. He will have to pay Dh400 as a fine. However, now this deadline has been extended to 1 October 2023. That is, the employees have the opportunity to invest in this scheme till 1 October 2023.
