UAE’s ADNOC signs 10‑year LNG supply pact with Gujarat Energy

Abu Dhabi’s state‑owned ADNOC has entered a ten‑year contract with Gujarat Energy to supply liquefied natural gas (LNG) to India, with deliveries slated to begin in 2028.

The agreement caps annual shipments at 4 million tonnes of LNG, equivalent to roughly 40 lakhs tonnes over the contract period, and ties pricing to the Henry Hub natural gas index in the United States.

The deal does not disclose its total monetary value.

ADNOC will deliver the gas through its trading arm, ADNOC Trading Limited, and plans to increase its annual LNG supply to the Indian market to 4.7 million tonnes after 2030.

Gujarat Energy operates a distribution network across 44 districts in six Indian states, serving industrial, residential and transport customers.

Rashid Al Masroui, head of ADNOC’s LNG marketing, said the partnership strengthens long‑term energy ties with India, while Managing Director Avantik Singh Olakh highlighted LNG’s role in industrial efficiency, safe cooking fuel and greener transport.

With this contract, ADNOC’s total LNG commitments to Indian customers now exceed $2 billion.
