Announce Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khatib, reported a significant increase in demand for tourist licenses in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as this increase reached 90%.
This came during his participation in “Together for a Great Future” conference activities Which was launched today in Riyadh with the participation of a high-level British delegation, and will last for two days. The Minister explained that this increase reflects the rapid growth of the tourism sector in the Kingdom.
He said that the tourism sector aims to contribute to growth of up to 5% of the gross domestic product, while enhancing tourism initiatives in the Kingdom. He added that this significant growth reflects the growing interest in tourism in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The minister continued that the number of British tourists who visited the Kingdom reached 65,000 visitors, in light of the facilitation of visa procedures for British citizens via the Internet.

The Minister also explained that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has become a center for innovations around the world, thanks to huge investments that reached $800 billion in various sectors. He stressed the importance of promoting tourism initiatives to enhance economic growth and enhance the tourism sector.
The Minister referred to the efforts made to strengthen economic relations with the United Kingdom and provide an encouraging investment environment for British investors in the Kingdom. He stressed the continuation of joint cooperation to achieve a promising future for the two countries in various fields.
Within the framework of bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, the Minister pointed out the importance of organizing initiatives that enhance cooperation between the two countries in various sectors. He stressed that Riyadh is hosting an initiative that strengthens this cooperation, as the Kingdom was honored by the visit of King Charles in several events, which contributed to strengthening economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
The Minister pointed out the importance of adopting innovation in all fields, stressing the increased interest in visiting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, especially with the availability of the online visa service for British citizens.
The Minister stressed the role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in hosting international sporting events, pointing out that it is making it a center for global sports and enhancing the sports infrastructure to achieve sustainability.

Regarding investment, the Minister pointed out that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia opened its doors to British investments and created the appropriate environment for investors, stressing the facilitation of the journey of British investors and the removal of obstacles.
The Minister concluded by affirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s determination to enhance cooperation and consolidate relations with the United Kingdom in various fields, to achieve increased business and a promising future for the two countries.
