Researchers carried out an exhaustive search for and evaluation of coronaviruses in bats
An international team of scientists, with presence of a prominent researcher at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, has researched about all known coronaviruses in Chinese bats. He used the analysis done on genetic to trace the origin of the coronavirus to horseshoe bats.
Posted online on Sunday, in its report, the team also mentions to the vast variety of these viruses in southern and southwestern China and requested closer monitoring of viruses found in bat in the area and greater efforts to make changes in the behavior of people as ways of lowering the chances of future pandemics to emerge.
