That is why the move of American fighter jets closer to Shanghai remains in discussion.
According to a PTI report, the US Navy’s P-8A anti-submarine aircraft and EP-3E reconnaissance aircraft were flying over Taiwan on Sunday. This airfield is near China’s Zhejiang and Fujian beaches. Shanghai city of China is located near both these beaches. It has been claimed in the news that American fighter aircraft had come very close to Shanghai for a while while taking their flight. According to the news, American fighter jets had passed 76.5 kilometers from Shanghai.
It has also been reported in the news that the think tank of the Peking University South China Sea Strategic Situation Probation Initiative tweeted about this on Sunday morning just after the passing of American fighter jets. After which, the institution made another tweet about this and informed about the return of American aircraft. The tweet stated that reconnaissance aircraft flew back after reaching near the southern part of Taiwan.
The think-tank tweeted once again at night on this issue. In his tweet, he said that the US Navy aircraft P-8A was flying near Shanghai with the USS Rafael Peralta, guided missile destroyer. According to the news, the tweet also said that ‘this can be a joint operation?’ Because both were following the same path.
