Ras Al Khaimah’s NYE fireworks display is bidding for two Guinness world records, say organisers
The www.raknye.com website has been launched for 2020, serving as a window to the upcoming Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve celebration.
Presented in English and Arabic, the website enables you to plan your visit to Ras Al Khaimah to attend one of the world’s most spectacular fireworks displays.
This year’s fireworks display is bidding for two Guinness world records. Among the special features are the use of pyro-drones, which will create a spectacular display – starting with the countdown to the New Year and going on to recreating the key monuments in Ras Al Khaimah through laser displays and pyrotechnics.
Another new element is the Japanese aerial shell fireworks display, which is being brought to the region for the very first time.
The website serves as the gateway to know all about the event as well as the place to book tickets for the Gala Dinner that will be headlined by multi-platinum singer, songwriter and fashion icon, Najwa Karam, and celebrity singer Waleed Al Shami.
The organising committee for RAK NYE 2020 said: “Ras Al Khaimah New Year’s Eve has established itself as a must-see event for people from across the UAE and beyond after the major successes of the previous years’ events, where three Guinness World Records were won.
“This year we’re attempting another two fireworks world records and have laid on a huge array of entertainment that will ensure all ages are catered for,” it added.
In 2019, Ras Al Khaimah welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world to its NYE event.
