A worker has died in UAE after a concrete wall collapsed on him at a construction site.
According to statement issued by the Umm Al Quwain Civil Defense on Monday, rescue teams rushed to the site of a wall collapse involving a worker – after receiving the report.
Civil Defence personnel detected the worker – under the rubble – using thermal cameras. Unfortunately, the worker had died by the impact and his body was recovered from under the collapsed wall using special equipment.
Colonel Dr Salem Hamad bin Hamda, Director of Umm Al Quwain’s Civil Defence, said that the incident happened at an under construction building in Al Salma area.
“The worker had died before rescue teams reached the site,” he added.
