The United States has placed a reward on the accused of the attack from November 26, 2008 to November 29, 2008. The 10 attackers, trained by Pakistan-based terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, carried out several attacks in a planned manner in Mumbai, India. About 170 people died in it. 6 Americans were killed in this attack. In the US, a reward of five million dollars has been kept for informing the accused of this attack.

According to the statement of the Rewards for Justice Program, the accused of this heinous attack are still absconding and investigations are on. This reward can also be given to those who are responsible for this terrorist attack. David Coleman Headley and Tahawwur Rana were presented in the US federal court to support LeT. In January 2013, American citizen Headley has been sentenced to 35 years in prison for a dozen offenses related to the Mumbai attack and the planned attack in Denmark.

In March 2010, he was convicted in 12 offenses. It also includes a case of involvement in the murder of American citizens. Headley was convicted of plotting to attack India, conspiracy to murder in India, transporting material to support terrorism, and transporting LeT to material. In June 2011, Rana was convicted of involvement in a terrorist attack plot against a Danish newspaper. The statement also said that Sajid Mir, Major Iqbal, Ab Kahafa and Mazhar Iqbal would be produced in the US court.

Earlier, on 26/11, the US said that it is with India and is determined to fight against terrorism. It is also committed to bring the culprits to justice in order to bring justice to the victims of the terrorist attack in Mumbai. US State Department Deputy Spokeswoman Kal Brown said on Wednesday, “Through the reward scheme for justice, we are trying to ensure that all the culprits of this heinous attack are brought to justice.”
