The entry protocol in Abu Dhabi has been changed for those travelling to Abu Dhabi from Dubai, Sharjah or any other emirate. This step has been taken in Abu Dhabi to prevent the spread of corona virus. It has become mandatory to undergo polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test for corona test 6 days after coming to Abu Dhabi.

The Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee says that, those who come to Abu Dhabi will have to undergo a corona test by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) on Day 6. At the same time, the Corona test report conducted on 6 days has to be kept together. After coming to Abu Dhabi, after 6 days, the people will be taken legally and fined for not getting the corona test.

According to the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Committee, residents coming from another emirate to enter Abu Dhabi can enter Abu Dhabi within 48 hours with a negative corona test report after conducting a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test or DPI test for corona tests. At the same time, the PCR test will not have to be conducted before the DPI test is conducted.

While polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests are carried out by taking a nose swab, the Deferactive Phase Interferometry (DPI) test is a laser-based test in which blood samples are used to test viruses. DPI is a cheap and quick result test that makes thousands of tests a day. Earlier, someone had to undergo both tests to enter Abu Dhabi.
