On Tuesday, The Ministry of Health and Prevention in the UAE carried out over 28,000 COVID-19 tests which detected 779 new coronavirus cases.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the UAE stands at 31,806.
Five deaths have also been reported so far. The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) confirmed that the total number of deaths from COVID-19 in the UAE is now 253. The government expressed sincere condolences to the families for their losses, who were of different nationalities.
The ministry also wished a speedy recovery to all infected patients, calling on the citizens to cooperate with health authorities and comply with all safety measures, especially practice of social distancing.
Good news is 325 new recoveries have been confirmed, which brings the total number of recoveries to 15,982.
Authorities had earlier said that the total number of tests conducted in the UAE crossed two million as of Monday.
