Abu Dhabi: The court has issued rulings and sentences in several cases remotely via video-conferencing for two months.
To complete the hearing process during March and April, the Abu Dhabi Appeals Court, with its civil, administrative, and personal status chambers, delivered 474 rulings with the help of video-conferencing technology.
The initiative has been taken in accordance with the sole objective of supporting all judicial services under the current pandemic circumstances.
Yousef Saeed Al Ebri, counsellor, undersecretary of the Abu Dhabi Judicial Department, told reporters that the adoption of remote hearing process in various courts has achieved a qualitative shift.
