Bob Weighton, a former engineer and teacher from the central British county Hampshire, bid a good bye to world. His family confirmed on Thursday morning he died “peacefully” in his sleep at home.
According to the Guinness World Records, Bob was the world’s oldest man. He was suffering from cancer in Britain, and died at the age of 112.
Bob was given the title of the oldest man in the world this year in February after the death of the previous record holder, Chitetsu Watanabe of Japan.
His family confirmed, “He had many friendships. He read and talked politics, ecology, theology, and more, even until his death.”
