Disillusionment of Indians with Swiss Banks reached 30-year low, with 6 per cent cut

    According to Swiss National Bank, at the end of 2019, Indians had a total debt of 89.946 crore Swiss francs over Swiss banks. This includes 55 crore Swiss francs (over Rs 4,000 crore) as customer deposits, 8.8 crore Swiss francs (Rs 650 crore) as deposits through other banks and 25.4 crore Swiss francs (Rs 1,900 crore) in the form of securities and other financial products. . Apart from this, about 50 crore rupees are deposited through various trusts.

    These figures do not include deposits by Indians, NRIs who are held in Swiss banks in the name of units of third countries.
