Airlines at Dubai International Airport affected by global system outage switch to alternative system
A Dubai Airports spokesman said, Dubai international airport(DXB) is operating normally, despite a global system outage that affected check-in operations for some airlines in Terminals 1 and 2 this morning.
The spokesperson explained that the affected airlines immediately switched to an alternative system, allowing normal check-in operations to resume quickly.
Computer problems caused the wide spread unrest all over the world.
Banks, businesses, hospitals and air traffic in other countries were disrupted. The disruptions are suspected to have been caused by a bug in a software update by IT security firm Crowd Strike.
A spokesman confirmed that Fly Emirates There is no impact on the carrier’s flight operations due to the global technical glitch.
“We are aware of a global technical glitch and are closely monitoring the situation. At this time, there is no impact on Emirates’ flight operations. There may be some delays to flight schedules later today, as a result of delayed departures from some airports across our network,” the spokesperson said in a statement today.

A Fly dubai spokesperson said that the carrier’s operations were not affected by the technical failure related to the information systems, noting that Fly dubai continues to closely monitor the situation.
