Dubai Airport is counted as one of the busiest airports in the world. More than 120 mm (4.75 inches) of rain was recorded in the United Arab Emirates through Tuesday. The roads of the cities appeared to be filled with water.
Schools have been closed due to heavy rain and storm. Most government offices also remained closed. Many vehicles were also seen stranded due to water logging on the roads. Water also entered the houses of some people, due to which they had to face problems. In view of the bad weather, Dubai Police had issued a public safety advisory cautioning people.
It will continue to rain till Wednesday morning
According to the advisory of the Meteorological Department, the situation of rain and storm may continue till Wednesday morning. The Meteorological Department has appealed to people not to leave their homes unnecessarily. Due to rain, along with the airport, many malls, metro stations and other public places are seen completely submerged.
