King salman to host hajj pilgrims from palestine and other countries

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman Abdul Aziz Al Saud was suffering from lung disease for the last few weeks. After the news of his illness came out, many big leaders from PM Modi to the world wished him good health. Now King Salman has recovered and is out of the hospital. As soon as he came out of the hospital, he made a big announcement for the people of Palestine.

After recovering, King Salman thanked the world leaders and people of Saudi Arabia for wishing him good health. He also announced to host 2,322 Hajj pilgrims from 88 countries of the world on the occasion of Hajj. The largest number of pilgrims will be Palestinians.

From where will the Haj pilgrims come?

Families of those martyred in the Palestine war, prisoners and 1,000 Palestinians injured in Israeli action will perform Hajj under the hospitality of King Salman. 1300 Hajj pilgrims are citizens of 88 different countries and 22 are from the families of twins who were separated through surgery in Saudi.

Hosting for brotherhood

Speaking about the special Hajj, Sheikh Abdullatif, the Islamic Affairs Minister and supervisor of Hajj, said, “The King of Arabia and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques is organising Hajj for some people from around the world at his own expense, which is a symbol of his constant keenness to care for Islam and Muslims around the world.” He further said, the gathering of guests at King Salman’s expense in Mecca and Medina will help to promote unity and brotherhood.

When will Hajj start?

Every year millions of Muslims from all over the world go to Saudi Arabia for Hajj. This year Hajj will begin on the evening of 14 June, for which pilgrims have started leaving for Saudi Arabia. According to a report by Statista, more than 18 lakh people came to Saudi Arabia for Hajj in 2023.
