Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has kicked off a trial this month for a combined Nol‑Jaywan card that can be used on metro, buses, taxis, parking facilities and a range of everyday payments across the emirate.
The card links the existing Nol system with the UAE’s national payment platform, Jaywan, creating a single payment solution for both travel and routine expenses. Users will be able to activate and top up the card via Android or iOS smartphones.
Initial use is limited to RTA‑operated services, including public transport and designated parking zones.
Cardholders will also gain access to more than 120 offers and discounts, although RTA has not yet disclosed the exact launch date for public availability, pricing details or whether current Nol cards must be replaced.
The trial also envisions online booking platforms for private transport services throughout the UAE, extending the card’s utility beyond Dubai.
