Riffa and Al Ahli have booked their places in the King’s Cup final.
Riffa beat neighbours East Riffa 2-1 while Al Ahli defeated Hidd 5-3 in penalty shoot-out in the semi-finals played yesterday at the Bahrain National Stadium.
Mohammed Jassim Marhoon scored Riffa’s first goal in the 29th minute before East Riffa equalised through Faisal Boodahoom in the 53rd.
Mohammed Jassim Marhoon netted his second and winning goal for Riffa in the 84th minute.
In the second semi-final, Al Ahli and Hidd were tied 2-2 after regular time.
Mohammed Abdulwahab scored Hidd’s first goal from the penalty spot in the ninth minute before Ahli’s Jamal Rashid equalised in the 48th minute.
Erich scored Hidd’s second goal in the 79th minute, but Ahli equalised through Baqir Al Asfoor two minutes into injury time.
In the penalty shoot-out, Jamal Rashid, Baqir Al Asfoor, Isa Ghalib, Ibrahim Habib and Hamza Al Sanhaji scored for Ahli.
For Hidd, Mohammed Abdulwahab, Abdulla Abdu and Sayed Mohammed Adnan scored while Mosis missed the fourth kick.
