Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia announce the establishment of a joint business council

The Business Council between Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia provides an effective platform for partnership between businessmen from the two countries.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia announced, on Wednesday, represented by the Union of Saudi Chambers, and Ethiopian Chamber of Commerce, announced the signing of an agreement to establish a joint Saudi-Ethiopian business council, in an important step to advance the course of economic cooperation between the two countries.

The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Saudi-Ethiopian Business Forum, held in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, on Wednesday, in the presence of the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Union of Saudi Chambers, Hassan bin Mujab Al-Huwaizi, with the participation of more than 250 investors, a number of Ethiopian ministers and officials, and representatives of government and private agencies of the two countries, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Objectives of establishing a business council between Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia

Al-Huwaizi confirmed that establishing a business council between Saudi Arabia and…Ethiopia It comes as a result of continuous efforts and a common desire, and will provide an effective platform for Saudi and Ethiopian businessmen to establish business partnerships and promote their activities.

The joint business forum reviewed investment opportunities, advantages, and incentives in Ethiopia, especially in industrial areas, and in the fields of agriculture, energy, and other economic sectors of common interest to both sides.

The Saudi business delegation visited a number of major sites in Ethiopia, including the Eastern Industrial Zone, the Chaka City Project, and the fodder production and coffee industry complexes, during which it was briefed on the investment opportunities available in the various sectors.
