The Supreme Court calls on Muslims who have the ability to see the importance of paying attention to this matter and participating in the relevant committees, to ensure the beginning of the blessed month of Ramadan correctly and in accordance with the Sharia calendar.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, the text of the Supreme Court’s announcement came: “In view of what was included in Supreme Court Resolution No. (179/AH) dated 1/8/1445 AH, Sunday 8/1/1445 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponds to 2/11/2024 AD.” It is the beginning of the month of Shaban of the year 1445 AH. The Supreme Court wishes all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to investigate the sighting of the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan on the evening of Sunday 8/29/1445 AH – according to the Umm Al-Qura calendar – corresponding to 3/10/2024 AD.

The Supreme Court requests that anyone who sees it with the naked eye or through binoculars: Notify the nearest court to him and register his testimony there, or contact the nearest center; To help him reach the nearest court.

The Supreme Court hopes that those who have the ability to see will pay attention to this matter and join the committees formed in the regions for this purpose.

For their part, the concerned authorities in the country have begun preparations to welcome the holy month, as mosques and religious centers are being prepared to receive worshipers and provide the necessary services during this holy month.

Markets and stores in the Kingdom are also witnessing intense preparations to welcome the month of Ramadan, as a variety of food and catering products are provided to meet the needs of Muslims during the fasting period.
