Saudi food companies face heavy fines, action taken on bad food!

A food company has been fined heavily in the Saudi city of Mecca. The company has been shamed as well as being fined. The company has been accused of possessing spoiled chicken, minced meat, vegetables and spices. The Saudi Arabia Health Ministry has sealed the company’s entire factory following an order issued by the Mecca Criminal Court. The Ministry has seized the food found in the factory.

Saudi Arabia’s Health Ministry investigation found that a well-known maize catering company improperly stores bad chicken, minced meat, vegetables and spices. A lot of food kept by the company was spoiled. After investigation, the ministry filed a lawsuit against the company in Mecca Criminal Court. The Mecca Criminal Court imposed a fine of 30,000 Saudi riyals on the company for keeping the food bad and embarrassed the company in two newspapers in the city.

The Mecca Criminal Court ordered the ministry to seal the company’s warehouse. The Saudi Arabia Health Ministry has sealed the company’s entire factory following an order issued by the Mecca Criminal Court. The Ministry has seized the food found in the factory. Saudi Arabia’s local newspaper Okaz reported the entire case.
