Shurooq re-opens leisure, eco-tourism destinations across Sharjah

The sterilization drive of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is done for its properties. The authority has also reopened popular leisure and entertainment destinations, like Al Qasba, Al Majaz Waterfront, the Flag Island, Al Noor Island, Mleiha Archaeological & Ecotourism Project, Heart of Sharjah, Maraya Art Centre, Khorfakkan Beach, and 1971-Design Space. In addition to these, its state-of-the-art City Sightseeing Sharjah (CSS) buses have started to run, taking guests to tourist sites across the emirate.

Several precautionary steps are implemented be it limiting the number of visitors in each hotspot areas in leisure properties to strict physical distancing policies, temperature readings, disposable cutlery and detailed cleaning checklists. Shurooq’s strategic actions are implemented in accordance with the government policies to ensure the safety of their visitors prime priority.

An official spokesperson said “Shurooq has a single-minded approach in implementing these protocols and expect our guests to show full cooperation and take their own safety seriously while visiting all our properties. We look forward to welcoming our guests again.”
