Al Ahli defeated Al Najma 1-0 in a fourth-round match of the Nasser bin Hamad Premier League yesterday.
Jamal Rashid scored the lone goal in the 60 minute to help Ahli claim their first victory in the tournament.
Ahli, who held Al Malkiya 1-1 in the opening match, have four points while Najma, who are yet to win a match, remain on two points.
In the second encounter of the evening, Manama pulled off a tough 1-0 win over Budaiya.
Mahdi Abdul Jabbar helped Manama seal victory through a penalty kick in the 62nd minute.
Manama raised their points tally to seven to claim the fourth position in the standings. Budaiya remain with four points after suffering their second defeat in the tournament.
The fourth round will conclude today with four matches. Muharraq face Al Malkiya at 4.30pm and Riffa take on defending champions Al Hidd at 7pm. Both matches will be played at the Bahrain National Stadium.
At 6pm, East Riffa will clash with Busaiteen at the Khalifa Sports City Stadium In Isa Town.
n Al Ittifaq beat Galali 3-2 in the fourth round of Second Division Legue on Thursday to go top of the table.
Hussein Tawfiq, Daniel Ashanti and Faisal Skaka scored for the winners while Nasser Saud and Talal Al Naar reduced the margin for Galali.
Al Ittifaq total 10 points from three wins and one draw, while Galali’s tally stands at four points.
In another encounter, Bahrain Club eased past Al Ittihad 3-0 at the Hamad Town stadium.
The goals were scored by Costa, Mohammed Sharif and Abdulla Al Jazzaf.
Meanwhile, Isa Town routed Sitra 4-1 at Riffa stadium. Man United beats Villa 2-1, level on points with Liverpool
Isa Briattu struck twice while teammates Abdulla Mubarak and Mohammed Khalid sealed the victory for Isa Town.
