Kuwait City: As the heat rises in Kuwait, the lunch break law for workers came into effect. The law came into effect yesterday.

Lunch break is allowed from 11 am to 4 pm. The companies are working by rearranging the working hours into morning and evening. The midday break lasts for 3 months till 31st August. The Public Authority for Manpower has announced that it is prohibited to employ workers during this time.

At the same time, the midday break law came into effect in Oman as a relief to workers working in open spaces in the scorching heat. The midday break law came into force in the country from Saturday, June 1.

According to Article 16 of the Oman Labor Law, since June Certificate of employment abroad for a period up to It gives rest. Rest time is from 12.30 pm to 3.30 pm for workers who are working outside. It deals with the health and safety of women workers and others. The brave are allowed a midday break. The authorities have informed that strict action will be taken against companies that do not allow rest time.
