Rabat – Austrian Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Wilhelm Ott announced his acceptance of Islam on 16 April, saying that the COVID-19 crisis helped him find faith in Islam.

He said in a post on Instagram that Islam has been on his mind for many years, but there were times when he “could do nothing with it.”

He said, “I allowed myself to be politically influenced. But when I had a hard time, the Islamic faith gave me the necessary strength. “In the post, MMA Fighter read his Shahada and uploaded a video with one of the five pillars of Islam.

Ott said, my belief is now strong enough that I can recognize the only true Rab and speak to Shahada to be able to say proudly, yes I am a Muslim.

In another post, Ott expressed gratitude for the positive reactions he received from his fans and the Islamic community.
