Turkish Airlines is close to purchasing 250 Boeing aircraft

Preliminary information indicates that negotiations with Boeing are still in their early stages, and no final agreement has been reached yet.

“Turkish Airlines” continues expand its fleet, It is in talks with the American company “Boeing” to purchase 250 passenger aircraft.  This came months after concluding a major deal With the European company Airbus, according to Reuters.

Details of the Turkish Airlines and Boeing deal:

  • Number of aircraft: Negotiations range between 150 and 175 Boeing 737 Max aircraft and 75 larger Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft.
  • Current stage: The talks are still in the discussion stage, and no final agreement has been reached yet.

Ahmed Polat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish company, said at the annual meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Dubai that the talks are still in the tender stage, and there is no time frame for reaching a final agreement.
