Al Etihad Payments, a subsidiary of the Central Bank of the UAE, announced the completion of the readiness of the “Jion” payment system infrastructure, to activate it locally and globally.
Features of “Jaywan” cards:
- Available in different categories: Basic, Premium, Direct Debit, Prepaid, Credit.
- Supports electronic transactions, cash withdrawals, and point of sale devices.
- Provides a low-cost local alternative that enhances the efficiency of local payment via UAESWITCH.
- Supports e-commerce, financial inclusion, and economic growth.
Types of “Jaywan” cards:
- Single system: for local and GCC use.
- Multi-system: Partnering with international payment systems to facilitate global use.
