India talks with UAE on ‘Changing World’

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar met United Arab Emirates (UAE) Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and discussed more opportunities to work with the Gulf country in the ‘changing world’. He said that the experiences of Kovid-19 era have given a lot of advice to India and UAE.

Jaishankar was on a two-day visit to the UAE on 25–26 November. This was the second leg of their six-day tour of three countries, Bahrain, UAE and Seychelles, which began on Tuesday. This journey is believed to be very important amidst corona virus infection. Jaishankar tweeted on Friday, ‘Nice to meet Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed again. We reviewed the growing cooperation. Discussed more opportunities to work together in the changing world.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of External Affairs, Jaishankar and Nahyan discussed bilateral issues on Thursday. Jaishankar briefed the UAE about India’s progress in the health and economic arena in dealing with the Kovid-19 epidemic. The two sides reviewed cooperation on trade, investment, infrastructure, energy, food security and defense.

Agree to continue coordination

External Affairs Minister of India Jaishankar and UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Nahyan also discussed in detail the regional and international issues. The two leaders agreed to continue coordination on various multilateral issues.
