Robin Singh was a left-handed batsman and right-arm bowler. Apart from this, there were amazing fielders. He has represented Team India for a long time in limited overs cricket and was considered a useful allrounder. He got a chance to play in 136 ODIs and 1 Test match for India. In 136 ODIs, he scored 2,336 runs with the help of one century and nine half-centuries and took 69 wickets. Apart from this, he has scored 6997 runs in 137 First Class Cricket at an unmatched average of 46. During this time, his bat scored 22 centuries and 33 half-centuries and also took 172 wickets.

After retiring from cricket, Robin Singh entered the field of coaching. He first became the coach of India’s U-19 Cricket Team. He then took the coaching position of HongKong U-19 Cricket Team and qualified him for the 2004 Asia Cup. Became coach of India-A Cricket Team in 2006. Then players like Gautam Gambhir and Robin Uthappa played for India-A only. His game flourished under Robin Singh’s coaching. He became the fielding coach of Team India in 2007-08 and the head coach of Deccan Chargers in IPL. He was the fielding coach of Team India till October 2009. Since then, he has been associated with the Mumbai Indians team as a batting coach till date. He has also been the coach of the Khulna Division cricket team in the Bangladesh Premier League and has also coached the Uva team of the Sri Lanka Premier League.
